Cape Dory has built some of the finest downeast boats, with their high quality teak joinery and hand laid up fiberglass hull, they make for strong solid boats that last the test of time.
If you are looking for a clean twin diesel Flybridge cruiser with beautiful classic lines, and a boat that offers comfort in a seaway, "Vigilant" is an excellent choice.
Accommodations
Entering into the main Salon you will first notice the full standing headroom. All interior wood is teak, and there is a teak and holly cabin sole. There are opening sliding windows to port and starboard. To port and aft is an L-shaped settee, with storage beneath. The table can be used in place, or moved to the cockpit if desired. Opposite the settee to starboard is more storage and the boat's electrical breaker panel. A Raritan Icemaker is also located in the mailn salon.
Forward, and down two steps is a spacious galley with 2 burner electric stove and Norcold refrigerator to port. Opposite the galley, is an enclosed head with shower and signature Cape Dory teak grate over the marine toilet.
The master stateroom, found all the way forward has a centerline queen berth with dresser to starboard and hanging locker to port. There are 4 drawers located under berth for storage. This cabin also has 3 opening hatches for good ventilation.

Hull and Deck
Awlgripped white hull and light grey nonskid decks. The flybridge has two pedestal seats and a comfortable bench seat aft. There is a custom fiberglass awning over the flybridge on an aluminum tower that was added recently. The aft cockpit is large and has two lockable storage compartments and courtesy lights. There is an opening transom door to starboard, to access the teak swim platform. All exterior teak shows to be well taken care of, and shows pride of ownership.

Twin Volvo TAMD 41-B diesels, 6 cylinder, 200 hp. Volvo Penta MS4A reduction gears. Engines are fresh water cooled. (2) Racor primary fuel filters. 1.5" S/S propeller shafts. Bennett trim tabs. 3 bladed 18" x 19" bronze props. Bronze rudders. 50 amp alternators on each engine. Approximately 1000 hours of run time on each engine. Fuel consumption is 13-14 gallons per hour.
Northernlights 3.5KW Generator, model # 643. Racor primary filter. Generator has 1246 hours of runtime. The mechanical systems and manuals are well documented in a notebook kept on board.
