Designed by renowned naval architect Ed Monk Jr., the Roughwater 37 combines traditional Pacific Northwest trawler characteristics with rugged fiberglass construction, economical diesel power, and practical accommodations for extended cruising. Its efficient semi-displacement hull, full-length protective keel, and shallow 4-foot draft make it equally at home exploring New England, the Great Loop, the Intracoastal Waterway, the Chesapeake, the Canadian Maritimes, and the Bahamas.

Powered by a professionally rebuilt Perkins ST6-354M 200 HP turbocharged diesel with approximately 450 hours since rebuild, PRONTO offers the dependable single-engine simplicity, fuel economy, and straightforward maintenance that have made the Perkins 6.354 series a respected choice among cruising and commercial operators for decades.

Owner reports and comparable Roughwater 37s commonly indicate fuel consumption in the neighborhood of 3 gallons per hour at normal cruising speed, although actual fuel burn will vary with loading, bottom condition, propeller, sea state, current, and operating RPM.

Estimated Cruise: 7.5-8.0 knots
Fuel burn: about 3 GPH

Originally built for West Coast cruising and now rarely found on the East Coast, PRONTO has benefited from approximately 1,400 hours of careful restoration and upgrades completed between 2024 and 2026.
