The SISUs are well built boats, with there beautiful working class lines. The hull is hand laid fiberglass. Stringers are composite material so there?s no wood to worry about with any potential exposure to water. The deck provides a lot of functionality for a boat this size. A custom-built, aluminum bow rail provides additional safety forward and extends the functional fishing space on deck. There are also plenty of grabrails forward. The cockpit is wide open, with the beam carrying aft. Plenty of room to get around, especially for fishing. Also, lots of under-deck storage. The classic Down East/Lobster Boat design provides fantastic protection from the elements should you find yourself in a bit of weather. The forward part of the cockpit over the helm station has a hard top with Bomar hatch to provide ventilation. Side curtains offer additional weather protection if needed and can be opened. Windshield glass is safety glass, not plexiglass, a very nice feature. A wiper on the helm side is perfect for spray, fog, or rain. The engine box providing additional seating. This is a very nicely designed boat, well suited for a wide range of weather and sea conditions.
