Starting forward a generous guest cabin with V berth and ensuite head with shower.
The salon has settees opposite each other with a drop leaf table. Aft and to port is a comfortable navigation table with redundant instrumentation with the helm.
To starboard is the U shaped galley with Corian counters and stainless fixtures. Galley propane range. Refrigerator and freezer in the counter.
Aft of the galley is a passage leading to the master cabin via the master head.
From the master cabin moving forward up the port side is another cabin with quarter berth and cabinetry opposite.
The interior is finished in cherry with teak and holly soles.
Total berths are 5 to 6 in 3 cabins.
Moody 40 circa 1990's
The Moody 40 had inmast furling mainsail and furling genoa as standard. On the Mark II version of the Moody 40 the internal layout was altered so as there is access to the Aft cabin from the port Passage cabin and the starboard Passageway and Aft heads are combined. Forward cabin has two large single berths converting to a double hanging locker. En-suite forward heads compartment, pressurised hot and cold water, a marine toilet, a shower and an opening hatch. Saloon has a U-shaped settee to port, a second settee opposite to starboard, a large folding leaf dining table, fixed portlights mounted in hull topsides outboard of settees. navigation area has a navigation desk, electronics and electrical distribution panel, chart table seat, and a wet hanging locker aft of chart table seat. Galley has a centreline galley unit with twin stainless steel sinks and hot and cold pressurised water. There is a second galley unit outboard with large refrigerated icebox and cooker. Passage cabin (Mark I): is situated to port aft of the navigation area. Twin single bunks. Hanging & storage space. Aft heads (Mark I): access from passage aft of galley plus en-suit access to aft cabin. Separate shower stall, marine toilet, wash basin with hot and cold water. Aft cabin (Mark I): Large central double berth. Lockers. vanity desk on the forward bulkhead. Passage cabin (Mark II): is situated to port with access from the navigation area. One mid level single berth. There is a drop in panel to shorten the berth and create an extra hanging locker for aft cabin, making the passage cabin into a dressing room for aft cabin. Aft heads (Mark II): are accessed from the aft cabin or aft of the galley. Separate shower stall, marine toilet, wash basin with hot and cold water. Aft cabin (Mark II): Large central double berth. Lockers. vanity desk on the forward bulkhead. The port passage cabin can be incorporated as a dressing room.
