43' Albin Full Keel Trawler Aft Cabin - SOLD
A rare full keel Albin 43' with a single Detroit 671 turbo 450 hp. Cruise 10 knots, max speed 12 knots with a stainless steel cage protecting the propeller. Cruise at 9 knots and burn only 4 gph.
The protected prop will allow you to cruise through all that lobster gear and not get tangled up or damage the running gear.
Use the autopilot to run straight courses and forget dodging buoys. New bottom by previous owner, extra heavy gelcoat. Bottom was stripped in 03 and is very clean and fair.
This is a wonderful cruising boat. The excellent bow flare provides a very dry ride. One of the nicest aspects of the Albin 43' is the inviting fore deck to lounge around on. Lean back against the generous bulwarks and enjoy the view.
The swim platform has been rebuilt into a roomy boarding platform providing easy entry. It is finished in non skid tan fiberglass and has new heavy duty custom built stainless steel brackets.
The exterior teak trim has been tamed down by converting to a pleasing painted finish in a color similar to Grand Banks Beige and in an industrial enamel on the window trim and flying bridge trim. Handrails and cap rails are naturally grayed and oiled. Everything blends nicely and the maintenance is reduced 90% or more.
Decks are non skid fiberglass. Anchor platform is larger and accommodates 2 anchors and is custom attached by heavy stainless plating and a huge stainless mooring cleat. A rugged IDEAL electric windlass makes anchoring easy with all chain rode and a 55lb plow anchor. Secondary Danforth high tensile is also on a bow roller.
A bow thruster provides additional maneuvering ability although this vessel is pretty easy to handle without it. The rudder was enlarged for better slow speed maneuvering.
The interior has been refurbished and varnished out. All new cushions and coverings. Galley has been updated with a stainles double sink and drain board, gas range and a new upright ice box (block ice). The opening will take a standard upright AC/DC refrigerator. This is one of the nicest galleys of any Albin 43' Flourescent lighting was added in the galley providing excellent lighting over the work surfaces.
This boat has been improved with added ventilation and a new white powder coated aluminum framed sliding window in the galley. A Dickinson Alaska diesel heater was installed in the aft cabin which heats this cabin and the saloon very nicely.
Heads have new Raritan PHII toilets. All new plumbing to the waste tank and new discharge pump. Contact Brokers
