57' Ketch Rig Offshore Cruiser - SOLD

Bella Donna was named for her beauty, in Italian (Beautiful Lady). She was built with the greatest of care and only the very best Quality and most expensive gear was selected. She has been continually updated over the years and is truly ready to sail around the world. Bella is powered by wind and solar power, no generator noise and maintenance necessary. She is truly a beautiful cruising vessel, and is priced to sell. The equipment list is large with lots of spares and back ups. Why the low price? Because it?s a Ferro Hull (Ferro cement sailboat) and that affects the resale Value?as simple as that.

All documentation the photos of the construction of this vessel are available, including all operations manuals. The hull was cemented in one day by a professional Canadian crew and water cured to specs. Our owner tells us "The workmanship, hull and equipment is in excellent condition. Construction
Hull and deck was built of Ferro Cement to perfection.
All documents and pictures are available.
This vessel was built in a mold upside down,
The best, hardest and most expensive way to build a Ferro Hull
All paints are polyurethane
Cabin construction is 1.5? solid Teak, Top Plywood and fiberglass over.
All other exterior woods are Teak.

Electrical

One trace 2000 watt inverter.
One Motorola 90 amp hour alternator (driven of the shaft
while sailing with manual shaft clutch).
Two Airogen 6 wind generators (hi out put).
Ten solar panels (siemens) w/auto control charge system.
One main electrical control panel AC and DC.
Four 8D 225 amp hour each Gel batteries (new).
One refrigerator AC and DC top loading well insulated.
One freezer AC and DC top loading well insulated.

DECK

On the bow, the windlass area has a well deck for dirt and mud from the chain to flush off easy with out messing up the whole deck. The deck just got
new paint and nonskid LP paint. The nonskid sheeting is a special urethane material which is also a good insulator. Bella has center cockpit, is very
comfortable and dry while on the way. There are 6 cockpit lockers for storage. The aft deck has a large storage locker. There are 4 large stainless
steel dorades and 3 aluminum hatches (Bowmar) and 1 large Teak forward hatch. This vessel has never leaked (very dry). The dingy is stored on two
SST Davids. The Outport motor is stored on a bracket mounted on the Davids for long passages.




Accommodation
The headroom is 6.3? plus and the layout is well lit, spacious, open and has good
ventilation, plus excellent insulation. There is no condensation below and all
storage area is dry and spacious.
The joinery throughout is mainly Teak, Rose Wood, Koa and Birch. The interior
varnish is of a satin finish. The large cabin doors are solid Teak and stained
glass.
This yacht has 2 private cabins, and sleeps plus minus 6 persons.
There are 5 opening Hatches and 4 large Dorade vents.
One forward cabin with 2 bunks.
One main saloon.
One dining settee (sitting 5).
One mid ship galley.
One main chart area with companion way.
One large head and shower.
One large aft cabin with double bed (master state room).

One large head and shower is located at mid ship on the STP side. Head and shower are separate. The shower just got new all grip paint (like new).
The toilet is a brand new unit never used, manual head, brand is Lavac, it is one of the best and trouble free head on the market. The holding tank is a
50 GAL capacity with 2 options of extraction; (1). Gravity and (2).By Suction.The water heater is ofstainless steel and works on demand (instant),
powered bypropane gas, a very efficient unit. The counter is a solid marble slab, with a porcelain sea shell shape sink. The ventilation in head and
shower is very good, it has one Bowmar Hatch over the shower, and one Dorade in the head with a prism for natural light.

All turn buckles are merriman bronze and SST shaft. All upper and
lower terminals are SST Norseman and STA-LOCK, (no swages)
all chain plates are 316 SST ¼? reinforced polished. Bobstay is
new, never got wet, 5/8? 316 SST and buckle, fore and aft
ratlines and main and mizzen maststeps for reef navigation and
maintenance. Running back stays for main and mizzen. This
vessel can easy be single handed. Top mast has lightening
rods, wind instruments, Anchor light.
